With over 70,000 participants, Hong Kong hosts one of the largest mass participation running events in Asia. The marathon route crosses the iconic Tsing Ma Bridge (one of the world's longest suspension bridges), passes through urban Hong Kong and the Eastern Harbour Crossing tunnel, and finishes near Victoria Harbour with Hong Kong Island's dramatic skyline behind runners. The 380m of elevation, combined with February heat and humidity (20–26°C, 75–85% humidity), makes this a challenging experience rather than a PB course. That said, the spectacle — thousands of runners crossing a suspension bridge at sunrise with skyscrapers all around — is genuinely extraordinary. Entry is by lottery with 70,000+ applicants for roughly 25,000 marathon spots.
