About this race

Warsaw punches far above its weight in the European marathon calendar. The course is remarkably flat — just 50m of elevation gain — running through Warsaw's meticulously rebuilt Old Town (reconstructed brick by brick after WWII devastation), along the Vistula River's newly developed riverbank parkways, and through the modern Śródmieście business district. September conditions are typically ideal: 12–18°C, low humidity, and light winds. Polish organisational standards are outstanding, aid stations are generous, and crowd support has grown significantly in recent years. Entry is affordable by Western European standards, and Warsaw's growing food and culture scene makes it an excellent marathon travel destination. This is Europe's best-kept secret for PB hunters.
