Nashville's Rock 'n' Roll marathon is one of the most entertaining race-day experiences in American marathoning. Live bands play every mile marker through downtown Nashville — Broadway honky-tonks, country crossroads, gospel choirs, and rock outfits give every kilometre its own soundtrack. The course runs through the Broadway entertainment district, past the Parthenon in Centennial Park, across the Cumberland River, and through East Nashville's charming streets. The 310m of elevation reflects Tennessee's rolling landscape — there are no flat miles in Nashville, making it a proper challenge. April brings warm weather (16–24°C) and the risk of heat is real. Runners who want an unforgettable atmosphere over a fast time will love every minute.
