No marathon on earth looks like Las Vegas at night. Starting at 8 PM on the Strip, runners pass under the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign, through the Fremont Street Experience canopy, and back down the illuminated Boulevard flanked by Caesar's Palace, the Bellagio fountains, MGM Grand, and the pyramid of Luxor. The 75m of elevation is negligible — this is a genuinely flat course. November nights are cool (10–17°C) — excellent racing conditions. The 300,000 spectators lining the Strip and the neon spectacle overhead create an atmosphere unlike any other marathon. The Rock 'n' Roll format means live bands throughout. Dress code: many runners wear sequins. This is the race where you run for the experience first and the time second.
